Xapian is an Open Source Probabilistic Information Retrieval library, released under the GPL. Xapian may be used to build powerful, fast search applications over hundreds of millions of documents on a variety of computing platforms.
Lemur Consulting provide a standard support package for Xapian as follows:
- Email and Web based support
- Training
- Support for the entire Xapian distribution including:
- Omega, Scriptindex and Omindex applications
- Python, PHP, Java, Perl, TCL, C# bindings and the standard C/C++ API
- Linux, other Unix, Mac OS X and Windows platforms
- Response times: maximum 8 hours (normal UK business hours excluding public holidays)
Build files for Xapian on Windows
We maintain an archive containing all the files you will need to build recent releases of Xapian, Omega and the Python bindings on Windows 2000 or XP using Microsoft Visual C++ 7.0 or above.
